If desired, use the 2"" LCD screen to play video directly on the unit. Once connected to the vehicle's power source, the camera will record continuously, so you can just set it up and forget about it. The camera automatically saves video when an accident is detected. With the built-in GPS to provide recorded videos with location data, you have proof of where and when events took place. Keep your hands on the wheel and instruct the camera with voice commands to save video, start and stop audio recordings, and more. Available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Swedish. Saved videos are stored securely in the online Vault and can be accessed using the Garmin Drive™ app on a compatible smartphone. With an active Wi-Fi® connection, you can share video clips with others by sending a link and password. Each video clip is stored in the online Vault for 24 hours after uploading. Garmin also offers paid plans for longer storage. To drive more safely, you will receive a warning if you drive too close to the vehicle in front of you. You will receive a warning if you are about to drift off the lane or if you cross the center line. This feature warns you when stationary traffic starts moving in front of you. Share your ride with friends via the Travelapse feature. The device condenses hours of driving into minutes of highlights, making a fun video that you can easily share. Use the Garmin Drive app on a compatible smartphone to remotely access the camera for Live View monitoring from anywhere when you're away from your parked car. This requires an active Wi-Fi connection and constant power. Some vehicles require the use of the constant power cord (sold separately). This feature monitors activity around your parked vehicle and automatically alerts you with video clip notifications to the Garmin Drive app on your compatible smartphone if an incident is detected. This requires an active WiFi connection. This dash cam can withstand harsh vehicle conditions, such as direct sunlight and high temperatures. You don't have to choose between turning on the dash cam and charging your phone. The included charger has an extra USB port, so you can do both.
